To get where we need to be every day, we utilize various modes of transportation on land, water, and in the air. Over years and decades, these methods evolve and undergo significant changes that impact our lives. Some modes are faster. Some are more convenient and reliable. Some produce more pollution. Humans are constantly in motion, deciding whether to walk, ride, drive, or fly. The How We Move Cards offer insights into the diverse transportation choices we make, their differences in features (capacity, speed, and greenhouse gas intensity), and the profound influence they exert on our daily lives.
Age group: 6-11 years old.
This learning tool was created in partnership with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).
