The Mineta Transportation Institute Elementary Poster Contest allows students, grades 1-6, to convey their knowledge of safe, affordable, and sustainable alternative transportation modes to passenger cars through an artistic, visually compelling image.

Did you know thousands of lives are lost each year from road collisions? Vision Zero is a mission to make our streets as safe as possible. Its goal is, by 2030, no injuries, no collisions, no lives lost—zip-nada-zero! How can one student, one school, one city take action? How can we keep pedestrians and all road users safe? Together, we'll shift gears from cars to safer alternatives like bicycles, buses, light rail, and trains and learn ways to protect vulnerable road users like pedestrians. Starting with the ride to school, can you rise to the #VisionZero2030 challenge and make roads safer for everyone? |
