Abbas Mohaddes is the Chairman of the Board at Umovity which includes Econolite, PTV Mobility, and PTV Logistics. Abbas is former CEO of Econolite Group Inc. (EGI). a leader in traffic management solution technologies, headquartered in Anaheim California and presence globally . Prior to that he was the founder of the Mohaddes group (TMG), offering a wide range of innovative and strategic advisory services to public and private organizations. He also co-founded CAVita, a company focused on Connected and Automated Vehicles policy and strategy which was acquired by EGI in January 2017.

Abbas has over 30 years of experience in the application of technology in transportation systems, is an internationally recognized expert in intelligent transportation, and has published and presented numerous articles at industry organizations around the world.

Abbas is an entrepreneur and a seasoned business executive. In 1991, he co-founded Meyer, Mohaddes Associates (MMA), a firm focused on the application of technology in transportation systems. MMA merged with Iteris in 1998. He led the turnaround and transformation of Iteris into a software-based information technology organization through significant organic growth and acquisition.

Abbas is a former CEO of Iteris, a publicly traded software-based information technology company. He served the company as its President and CEO from March 2007 to February 2015. He served on the board of directors of Iteris from 2005 to February 2015.

Mr. Mohaddes is a founding member and past chairman of the board of ITS America, past chair of the ITS America Leadership Circle. In 2015, he was inducted to ITS America Hall of Fame. He is a member of Transportation Research Board (TRB), and a past member of its Executive Committee; Fellow at the Institute of Transportation Engineers; member of the Forum for Corporate Directors; member of the University of California Irvine Chief Executive Roundtable; Board member of the National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE), and member of the Mineta Transportation Institute board of trustees.
