Brad Paul is Vallejo’s Interim Economic Development Director and has over 40 years of experience in preservation, planning, community development, housing policy and philanthropy. Over the years, Brad has worked at the Western Regional Office of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in San Francisco, served as San Francisco’s Deputy Mayor for Housing under Mayor Art Agnos and was a Senior Program Officer with the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund for eight years. Most recently, Paul served as Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), and later as Deputy Executive Director for Local Government Services with the consolidated Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)/ABAG staff. Brad attended Williams College and was the recipient of a Loeb Fellowship at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design in 1988. In recent years, he has been volunteering on several preservation projects in his hometown of Fall River, MA including restoring and reopening St. Anne’s Church, the largest, most architecturally significant church in Fall River as well as preserving the Corky Row Club (c. 1936), the oldest Irish American social club and bar in the region.
