What do you want to be when you grow up?
Even the youngest learners dream about what grown-up life might be like and come to appreciate the important roles of all kinds of people. At MTI, we’ve spent over 20 years creating education and workforce development programs for K-12 students and adults. Now, we’re excited to expand our offerings to preschoolers with a brand-new curriculum!
You’re invited to check out our free transportation-focused curriculum that combines early literacy, STEAM concepts, and imaginative play to help young children explore the world around them and learn about transportation. Through child-led activities, hands-on projects, and engaging field trips, children will discover that buses and trains are more than vehicles—they’re vital connections that bring people together, strengthen communities, and promote equity and sustainability.
Aligned with the California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations, this curriculum supports young learners in various developmental domains while embracing the principle that play is the work of childhood.
We invite you to explore these resources and incorporate them into your classroom! Visit our webpage to access activities, lesson plans, and more.
Thank you for inspiring the next generation of learners and dreamers.
If you have any questions or feedback about the curriculum, please get in touch with Alverina Weinardy (alverina.weinardy@sjsu.edu).
