Developing Specification for Use of Intelligent Compaction Technology

The primary objective of this project is to develop specification and guidance for construction quality control of earthwork (soil) and granular (base) pavement layers using continuous compaction control (CCC), also referred to as Intelligent Compaction (IC). A life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA) will also be performed to compare and evaluate the benefits of using IC technology with conventional compaction quality control process for earthwork and base.
