San Jose, California— The Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) and Podcar City have collaborated to bring “Podcar City 2019: Opportunities for Automated Public Transport,” to The Stage in San Jose November 5-6, 2019.

With the US population expected to increase by 70 million people in the next 25 years it is not enough to simply plan – we must plan smarter, aligning decisions and dollars to improve the mobility of people and goods. Join “Podcar City 2019” as we discuss the planning and expanded deployment opportunities for incorporating automated, connected, electric, and shared transportation technologies into a 21st century transportation system. A welcome address will be delivered by San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, followed by the Honorable Rod Diridon Sr. discussing transportation strategy for the City of San Jose. Former Congressman Mike Honda will deliver an afternoon keynote along with Silicon Valley leadership Group CEO, Carl Guardino. These and other dynamic speakers will comprehensively discuss sustainable new modes of shared autonomous transportation.
