Registration

For admitted MSTM students

Students who have been formally accepted ("matriculated") to the MSTM program must register through MySJSU. Use your current login information and follow the standard process for adding a class.

For graduate certificate and “undecided” students

If you are seeking a Graduate Certificate rather than an MSTM, or you prefer to begin taking classes towards the MSTM before you apply for admission to the program, register through Open University.

To register, complete the following steps no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the session. The full curriculum (meeting dates, times, instructors and class numbers can be found here.)

If you are applying for a graduate certificate, please complete this brief application.
Complete the Registration Form. Note that the form requires you to attach a copy of a transcript showing that you earned a bachelor's degree (any major) with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Please note: For the instructor's name and email address, please enter "Amir Gillani" and "amir.gillani@sjsu.edu", respectively. Please enter Amir's name and email in every Instructor's field as SIGNERS for every class you are requesting, as Amir will need to sign off on each individual one.
- For the question "Are you requesting a 200-level class, e.g. CMPE 244?", please ensure to check "Yes".

Note: Up to 9 units of course credit taken through Open University can later be applied toward the MSTM degree, should you decide to pursue that option.
