Transportation Innovation in the Hands of the Next Generation— Elementary School Lesson Plans

To encourage elementary school students to consider critical transportation issues and develop skills that will enable them to consider transportation-focused careers, MTI is partnering with Lorin Eden Elementary School in Hayward, CA to design and pilot a series of lesson plans. These lesson plans will center around sustainable transportation and will be designed to help students use and develop critical thinking, creativity, and other important skills to engage with key transportation concepts and issues of the global climate crisis. These lesson plans not only introduce critical issues to students but also help them develop core skills, such as critical thinking, that they can use in their academic and future professional careers.
