Statistical Evaluation of IDEAL-CT Test for Asphalt Concrete Using Discrete Element Method

California Department of Transportation is evaluating multiple fracture properties tests to be used for quality control/ quality assurance for producing Asphalt Concrete (AC). The IDEAL-CT (indirect tensile asphalt cracking test) has been the main candidate test. The main objective of this proposal is to perform a sensitivity analysis on the specimen fabrication and test conditions and its effect on the test parameters.
