Parking Automation Infrastructure

Automated parking systems have gained significant attention in recent years. There are several issues with traditional parking garages that will not satisfy the demand for populated areas such as greater Los Angeles. In highly populated areas, adapting an automated parking system will have several benefits such as saving time for parking, reducing the NOX in the parking garages, and reducing the foot print required by the parking structure. In this proposal two different automated parking structures will be proposed. A detailed study will be conducted on optimizing the logistics for the car lifting mechanism in the automated parking structures.
