2019 Northern San Joaquin Valley Commuter Study: A Look at Perceptions and Behavior Change

The proposed study aims to find out what types of transportation improvements would bring the most economic benefit to the San Joaquin Valley. Further, the proposed study examines solo drivers’ perceptions in choosing another mode of transportation such as vanpool, carpool, express bus or train. The proposed study will look at the types of jobs that would need to come to the valley to bring commuting to minimal level. Further, this study will investigate the extent to which such proposed changes in the economic landscape impact transportation perceptions and behavior change as they relate to public transportation.
