Work Background:
Dr. Taylor's current research interests are on the changes in commuting
demographics accompanying spatial and economic restructuring in cities;
the influence of public finance politics on the urban transportation
planning process; and how public transit subsidy programs are shaped by
the competing goals of efficiency, effectiveness and equity. He has
several years experience as a transportation analyst in the San Francisco
Bay Area, first with the UC Berkeley Institute of Transportation Studies
and later with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
