Work Background:
Mr. Savage is accountable for the executive direction of New York City
Transit (NYCT) strategic security functions -- passenger and employee
security and property protection. He as primary responsibility for
coordinating NYCT security issues with the MayorŐs Office of Criminal
Justice and the Transit Bureau of the New York City Police Department. He
has been with NYCT since 1971 and has held increasing responsible
management positions in transit policing, re-engineering, human resources,
and management & budget. He was an invited participant in the March
1996 IISTPS Symposium (Terrorism in Surface Transportation).
