Work Background:
With over 25 years of professional planning experience, Dr. Rothblatt is a
Research Associate at the Institute of Governmental Studies, University of
California, Berkeley. A past president of the Association of Collegiate
Schools of Planning, his works include numerous papers and articles on
planning in the U.S. and abroad and several books on metropolitan
planning, such as Planning the Metropolis (1982), Suburbia: An
International Assessment (1986), Metropolitan Dispute Resolution in
Silicon Valley (1989), and Metropolitan Governance: American/Canadian
Intergovernmental Perspective (1993). He has studied planning in the
United States and abroad and holds the Ph.D. in city and regional planning
from Harvard University, where was on the planning faculty.
