Work Background:
Ms. Murray has over 16 years experience in both elected and managerial
roles related to surface transportation policies, with emphasis in the
fields of transit and Transportation Demand Management. Her primary
research involved a study for the Environmental Protection Agency, which
resulted in the creation of the nation's first "commute store"
at the University of California at Berkeley. She also conducted research
for Harvard University. Her managerial experience includes Acting
Assistant General Manager of AC Transit, Acting Director of Transportation
at UC Berkeley, and General Manager of a non-profit paratransit company.
She has Chaired the Board of Directors of a suburban transit agency and
participated in regional and statewide policy committees. Note: Ms. Murray
is a former member of the Walnut Creek City Council and served as a member
of the CCCTA (County Connection) Board of Directors.
