Work Background:
Mr. Mattoon's real estate development company has just completed a mixed
use housing/retail project in San Francisco whose site was chosen almost
entirely because of its access to BART, MUNI bus, and the new Market
Street Antique Trolley service. Design and marketing of the project
emphasizes accessibility to every part of San Francisco on public
transportation. A large bike storage room is included to encourage bicycle
use by residents.
Mr. Mattoon's experience and qualification in transportation issues and
their critical role comes directly from the financing and building of
housing and retail projects that were rationalized significantly by their
interaction and relationship with available local transit. He holds a
California Real Estate Broker's license and serves on the Housing
Committee of SPUR.
