Work Background:
Mr. Colman is currently involved with two research projects at SJSU: one
is to develop a "best practices" manual for congestion
management agencies, the other is to look at the effects of population
density on trip generation. Other research projects he has been involved
with recently include improving travel forecasting techniques and
improving the assessment of the air quality impacts of highways. He has
been actively involved with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE)
and is a principal of the Dowling Associates consulting firm in Oakland.
