Work Background:
Mr. Bauer's professional experience addressing issues related to
transportation finance, the institutional setting for transportation
decision-making, and the planning of transportation facilities and
services spans over 25 years. For ten years he worked for the California
Legislature and drafted numerous transportation measures, including the
legislation creating the San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation
Commission, the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Development Board, the
Transportation Development Act, and the California Transportation
Commission, among others. For 15 years he has been engaged in private
consulting addressing the concerns of public and private clients related
to transportation finance and management.
