The
Mineta Transportation
Institute
is assigned to accomplish the following three tasks:
The Mineta
Transportation Institute Executive Director is
available to
- provide expert
opinions on the areas identified below
- speak at your
transportation-related events
- provide quotes
regarding breaking transportation issues
- assist with
retreats, seminars, futures sessions, etc., on
surface transportation systems and programs
- serve on boards,
commissions and committees relating to surface
transportation policy.

- surface transportation futures issues
especially relating to environmental impacts
(especially regarding global warming and EIR
development and implementation), transportation
counter-terrorism systems, major investment
study development, approvals and funding, etc.
- community coalitions development
- transportation system's funding policy
- local and regional governmental organization
and management
- mass transportation systems planning,
development, operation and intermodal
integration
